“EU. Academy- 2017” Summer School
took place in the period of the 29th of May – 9th of June 2017 in the premises of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM)
“EU.Academy-2017” Summer School was organized by the Centre for European Integration Studies of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (CSIE.ASEM) in the framework of the INTEGRA project in close cooperation with the European Policy Development and Research Institute- EPDRI (Maribor, Slovenia).
Summer School aims at creating modernized civil society with highly-organized European standards, values and goals on regional and local level of Moldova. Educated citizens for active engagement in the socio-economic life of the Moldova and its deeper economic integration into EU. Created experts platform will provide follow up opportunities for highlighting main challenges and exchanging of views on certain problematic issues concerning the economic integration of Moldova into EU.
During Summer School were discussed the following topics:
- Summer course “A competitive EU: research policies and innovations”
- Summer course “ EU trade policy”
- Summer course “EU institutions and policies”
- Summer course “European integration and Common Economic policies”
The “EU.Academy-2017” Summer School has visited students who do not automatically come into contact with EU integration studies, young researchers (doctoral candidates undertaking PhDs and students planning to undertake PhD studies in the areas of European studies), teachers of the secondary schools, young public administrators, professional groups and civil society representatives.
All the information presented to the public was carefully selected and analyzed by teachers and researchers. The methodology used during Summer School included highly qualified presentations both by domestic and external experts, examination of case studies and organisation of panel discussions and workshops respectively. The participants of the Summer School received adequate teaching material and other written information on the agenda’s topics.
Working languages of the“EU.Academy-2017” Summer School was both English and Romanian (without simultaneous translations).
The “EU.Academy-2017” Summer School has given possibilities for the education of generations of young experts, who gained the necessary knowledge and thus are able to be the promoters and bearers for the implementation of the INTEGRA’s objectives and for the fruitful European economic integration of Moldova. At the end of the program, participants received joint Certificate of Attendance signed by CSIE.ASEM coordinators and several reading recommendations for future development.
