Study Visit to the Maribor (Slovenia), Participation at PODIM Conference – May 15th-16th 2018

The PODIM Conference was held on May 15th-16th 2018. PODIM Challenge represents an investment platform for connecting selected early-stage startups with investors, and strategic corporate partners. It is an entry point and selection filter for startups to obtain startup ticket and to gain access to PODIM 1:1 Arena with 500+ meetings and pitching competition with special prizes.

At the conference, there were present notorious personalities, such as dr. Miro Cerar, Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia; dr. Andrej Fištravec, Municipality of Maribor, Slovenia; Carolyn N. Spencer, AMAZON, USA; Philippe Gluntz, Business Angels Europe, France; Alenka Suhadolnik, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Slovenia; and so on. The Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova also has assisted to this event, being represented by Olesea Sîrbu, coordinator of the INTEGRA project; dr. Rodica Crudu, associate professor; dr. Dodu-Gugea Larisa, associate professor; Grosu Vladimir, Vice-rector for low-frequency education and continuous training.

The conference lasted two days, within which there took place more than 30 lectures, roundtables and workshops, presenting the newest global trends, rich experiences, practical advice, knowledge, and inspiring stories from the world of innovation, disrupting technologies and entrepreneurship.
