“FOSTERING KNOWLEDGE TRIANGLE IN MOLDOVA”

The fourth International Forum “TRIANGLE” of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM) in 2018 was developed under the theme “Promoting the Knowledge Triangle in Moldova” and was aimed at encouraging international cooperation between Moldovan higher education institutions and European universities and support the strengthening of the role of universities in linking EDUCATION, RESEARCH AND INNOVATION to a KNOWLEDGE TRIANGLE in Moldova.
The Forum was organized with the support of the European Commission within the INTEGRA project “Jean Monnet Center of Excellence in European Economic Integration Studies”, the ELEVATE project “Elevating the Internationalization of Higher Education in Moldova”, EU2INNO project – “Jean Monnet Chair in EU Policies towards Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship “, SMART project” Fostering University-Enterprise Cooperation and Entrepreneurship of Students through SMART Caffes “and ReSTART project” Reinforce entrepreneurship and digital skills of students and teachers to modernize higher education in MOLDOVA “.
The Forum started with the European Commission’s vision of responsible research and innovation (RRI) and we were created by major academic voices at national and European level. Then I went into detail in each of the key features of the Knowledge Triangle. The three parallel forum sessions (interactive workshops, roundtable sessions and group discussions) developed the three major themes, identifying higher education in the EHEA, creating knowledge in institutions in close cooperation with stakeholders, and finally work, for the benefit of institutions, students and graduates.
The Forum was established with the opening speech of Mr. Grigore Belostecinic, Acad., Prof.univ. Dr. Hab. – Rector of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, Rodica Crudu, PhD in economics from the Academy of Economic Studies – Academic coordinator “INTEGRA”, Fabien Schaeffer, representative of the European Union Delegation in the Republic of Moldova, Gheorghe Duca, the president of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Elena Belei, General Secretary of State, Ministry of Education, Culture and Research in the Republic of Moldova, Andrei Chiciuc, President of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research in the Republic of Moldova, and Roman Chircă, Director of the Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer.
The forum lasted two days and its program was divided into parallel sessions. On the first day took place the interactive seminar EU2INNO: INNOVATION AND CREATIVE ECONOMIES; as well as the INTEGRA SESSION: FINANCING AND ACCOUNTING IN THE CONTEXT OF EUROPEAN INTEGRATION and finally the ELEVATE consortium (for the ELEVATE project partners). On the second day, parallel seminars took place such as INTEGRA: INNOVATION IN EDUCATION – A NEW BUSINESS VECTOR ENGINE; HEIFYE seminar: Entrepreneurship between Young People; the DIGITAL ECONOMY seminar and so on.
The forum was organized in English, with simultaneous translation in Moldovan and Russian languages.
Also, at the end, all participants attending the Forum received certificates of attendance.
